The electromotor (1) has two plates (2, 3) for receiving a stator (4) that is provided with a set of magnetic metal sheets and a set of electrical windings. A rotor (5) is located inside the stator and mounted on a motor shaft (6). The plates are directly connected with each other by two self-centering connection units along a common longitudinal axis. The stator and rotor are enclosed in a cavity that forms a shield, where a seat is located in the cavity and formed for the stator. One of the plates comprises a lid, a side wall and a bottom wall to form another cavity. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a motor.
