PURPOSE: A continuously variable type automatic transmission is provided to reduce electric fields of a transmission by connecting outer periphery of a first planetary gear set to a second planetary gear set. CONSTITUTION: Power of an engine is delivered to a first input shaft(12). The power of an engine from the first input shaft is transmitted to a second input shaft(14). A belt driving part(30) is installed between the first input shaft and the second input shaft. The belt driving part performs a shift operation. A first planetary gear set(50) is connected to the second input shaft. A second planet gear set(70) is connected to the second input shaft. The second planet gear set is connected to the outer periphery of the first planetary gear set. The second planet gear set is connected to the output shaft. Friction elements(82,84,86) are installed at the first and the second planetary gear sets. Friction elements implement a transmission of forward second speed and a transmission of reverse first speed.
