<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric outboard motor that prevents contact between a steering handle and a connection cable for use in supplying power or transmitting a signal. <P>SOLUTION: The electric outboard motor 1 to be mounted on a ship includes: an electric outboard motor body 11 having a steering handle 5 for use in steering operation and a drive motor 2 as a drive source; a control/power supply unit 12 configured separately from the outboard motor body 11 and supplying power to the drive motor 2 provided in the outboard motor 11; and a connection cable 710 for electrically connecting the outboard motor 11 with the control/power supply unit 12.
