PERMANENT MAGNET TYPE ROTATING ELECTRICAL MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine capable of improving operation efficiency by changing the number of poles of a rotor without need for changing wire connection of an armature winding.

SOLUTION: The permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator has an armature winding. The stator has a rotor core and a permanent magnet embedded into the rotor core. The permanent magnet type rotating electrical machine switches the phase sequence of the armature winding without changing the wire connection of the armature winding, changes the polarity of the permanent magnet according to a magnetic field formed by energizing the armature winding to change the number of poles of the rotor.
