<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a new material having excellent performance where the cycle characteristic is improved by controlling effectively the elution of the sulfur constituent in the organic electrolyte, for a useful metal sulfide as a positive electrode active material etc. of a high capacity for lithium secondary batteries. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes manufacturing a composite of a metal sulfide and a metal oxide, i.e., the metal sulfide that comprises nickel sulfide, copper sulfide, iron sulfide or a mixtures of these, and the metal oxide made by partially coating the surface of the metal sulfide. A metal sulfide comprising nickel sulfide, copper sulfide, iron sulfide or a mixture of these is dispersed in an aqueous solution including a metal salt, the aqueous solution is dried to adhere the metal salt to the metal sulfide, and then the metal sulfide to which the metal salt adheres is heated at 400-900°C under an atmosphere containing sulfur. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
