<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection connector which provides a high shield effect and is capable of especially exhibiting a high shield effect in accordance with raised signal speed. <P>SOLUTION: In a plug 3, a plug-side shield member 8 ia arranged on a rear surface side of plug-side signal terminals 1, 1.... The plug-side shield member 8 includes plug-side ground terminals 10, 10... exposed on a side surface part of a plug part 2. The plug-side signal terminals 1, 1 are arranged between the plug-side ground terminals 10, 10. In a socket 6, a socket-side shield member 21 is arranged on an outside surface part. The socket-side shield member 21 includes socket-side ground terminals 51, 51... exposed on an inside surface part of a plug insert groove 4. Socket-side signal terminals 5, 5 are arranged between the socket-side ground terminals 51, 51.
