<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system for both of improvement of efficiency in search processing of a transfer control identifier and effective utilization of transfer control identifier space, by assuring an upper limit value of search processing time for a transfer control table of a packet transfer device. <P>SOLUTION: A network system comprises a plurality of packet transfer devices among which packets are transferred. The network system also comprises an allocation propriety determination unit which: calculates a search load of a transfer control table search unit in the case of allocating a transfer control identifier candidate to be allocated, when allocating a new transfer control identifier; allocates the transfer control identifier candidate when the calculated search load is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value; and does not allocate the transfer control identifier candidate when the search load calculated by a search load calculation unit is larger than the predetermined value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
