The breaker has a partially contacted pin (2) provided in a hollow socket (3) with a spring (4). A tail hook (5) holds a spring biased element that includes an isolated disk (1), the contacted pin, hollow socket and spring. The hook is held by a permanent magnet (9) without using power, and a yoke (6) and a coil (7) are neutralized by energizing a magnetic field. A triggered electronics unit (8) outputs a trip signal for the permanent magnet, and information for the electronics unit is up-modulated on a main power line. A bimetal (10) is triggered by action of heat on the hook.
