<p>Provided are a base station and a transmission timing adjustment method whereby uplink transmission timing can be prevented from deviating due to an old timing advance of which the transmission to a mobile station has been put on hold. A base station (100) comprises: a TA transmission control unit that, upon detection of out-of-synchronization, suspends the transmission of a timing advance by a timing advance MAC control element; and an RA procedure executing unit that transmits a timing advance, which is in accordance with a random access procedure, to the mobile station. After determining the transmission of a timing advance by the timing advance MAC control element, the TA transmission control unit abandons the timing advance by the timing advance MAC control element when the RA procedure executing unit has transmitted the timing advance, which is in accordance with the random access procedure, to the mobile station, or when the RA procedure executing unit has determined to instruct the mobile station (200A) on the random access procedure, or when the RA procedure executing unit has instructed, via a downstream control channel, the mobile station (200A) to activate the random access procedure.</p> |
