<p>The invention relates to a catalyst employed within the N-butanol isomerization process and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the catalyst is a LiFe(PO)-type catalyst deposited on activatedγ-alumina, having a specific surface of 162 m/g and a selectivity of 95% at the optimal isomerization temperature of 340°C. The process claimed by the invention comprises the hydrothermal synthesis of the catalyst which is dried at a temperature of 90°C and is mixed with 12% alumina activated by calcination, at a temperature of 370°C in inert atmosphere, the mixture being then homogenized and granulated as balls having a dimension of 3...5 mm which are activated at 370°C, in an inert atmosphere.</p> |
