The invention relates to an activation device (1) for a vehicle which is designed to activate a functional unit of the vehicle, having a detector device (3) and an activation lever (2) which can be moved relative to the detector device (3) and by means of which a position of the activation lever (2) relative to the detector device (3) can be sensed, wherein for this purpose a magnet (17) is arranged on the activation lever (2), and the detector device (3) has a plurality of magnet sensors (22) which interact with the lever-side magnet (17) as a function of the position of the activation lever (2), wherein the detector device (3) has a slotted link (18) with a plurality of latched positions (21) for the activation lever (2), in which slotted link a front end (10) of the activation lever (2) can be moved relative to the detector device (3), and a magnet sensor (22) is arranged at each latched position (21).
