<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-type pipe end protection implement which is favorable in attachment/detachment performance, has durability for a repeated use, and is liftable. <P>SOLUTION: The plug-type pipe end protection implement 1 is attached to the end of a metal pipe P. A vent hole 3 is formed at the bottom 2c of a hat-shaped body 2 having a flange 2b at the opening end of a bottomed cylinder 2a, and fins 4 are formed at a cross section which is vertical with respect to a longitudinal center axis at the external periphery 2aa of the cylinder 2a. One of the fins 4 is formed within a range not smaller than 90° and not larger than 180° of the external periphery of the cylinder 2a, the total sum of all the fins 4 is formed over a range not smaller than 180° of the external periphery of the cylinder 2a when projected in the longitudinal center axial direction of the cylinder 2a, and these fins 4 are arranged so that areas at both sides of an arbitrary line passing through the center axis of the projected face may be substantially the same. The plug-type pipe end protection implement is easy in attachment/detachment, has the durability for the repeated use, and can stably be held by a sufficient holding force.
