PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera control unit that sets a processing mode according to circumstances of a vehicle by setting the processing mode on the basis of ON/OFF information of a drive mechanism of the vehicle and performs processing according to the set processing mode, and further to provide an on-vehicle camera control system, an on-vehicle camera system and the like.

SOLUTION: An on-vehicle camera control unit 100 includes: an image acquisition section 110 for acquiring infrared image data from an infrared image pickup section 210; an ON/OFF information acquisition section 130 for acquiring ON/OFF information of a drive mechanism of a vehicle; and a processing section 120 for performing processing on the basis of the infrared image data. The processing section 120 sets one processing mode out of a plurality of processing modes including a first processing mode and a second processing mode having a processing execution rate lower than that of the first processing mode as a processing mode for use on the basis of the ON/OFF information and performs detection processing of an object in accordance with the set processing mode for use.
