<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tertiary and quaternary α-trifluoromethyl ketone derivatives and a method of producing the derivatives. <P>SOLUTION: A γ-trifluoromethyl dicyanoalkylidene expressed by general formula (2) (where R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>each represent a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, alkenyl group, aralkyl group, alkynyl group, aryl group or aryloxy group, and R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>, or R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>may be integrated to form a part of a cyclic structure with or without a hetero atom included) is treated with potassium permanganate to obtain tertiary and quaternary α-trifluoromethyl ketones expressed by general formula (1) or tertiary and quaternary α-trifluoromethyl ketone derivatives expressed by general formula (1) (where R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>, R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>are the same as described in formula (2)). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
