#CMT# #/CMT# The laparoscopic port (1) has a tube section (2) that is inserted into an opening formed in an abdominal wall (10). Several passages (14) formed at the outer side of the tube section are covered by a covering element (13). The sealing portions (3,5) are provided for preventing the flow of gas through the passages formed at the outer side of the tube section. The passages are maintained in opened state, and the sealing portions are used for blocking the flow of gas stream with respect to the tube section. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Laparoscopic port used for passing surgical instrument into abdominal cavity. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The sealing portions are provided for ensuring that the required pressure is maintained at the abdominal cavity, and for lifting the abdominal wall by the surgeon for creating the working space. The risk of damage of the laparoscopic port is reduced, and the desired actuation of the surgical instrument can be achieved.
