<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire having a flexible distal end and having a superior device delivery property. <P>SOLUTION: This guidewire is formed by including: a core shaft consisting of a distal portion, a proximal portion, and an intermediate portion that is located between the distal portion and the proximal portion; a hollow coil body that covers the distal portion when the distal portion is inserted into the interior; and a hollow resin body that covers the intermediate portion when the intermediate portion is inserted into the interior. The intermediate portion has a tapered shape such that the diameter of the intermediate portion decreases from a proximal end portion side of the intermediate portion toward a distal end portion side of the intermediate portion, and the rigidity of the hollow resin body is higher than the rigidity of the hollow coil body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
