<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that reduces failures caused by the displacement of a recording sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The printer 10 includes: a sheet feeding mechanism 20 that has a pair of sheet feeding rollers 22 for feeding the recording sheet 15 along a conveyance path 25; a printing head 32 that is provided at a downstream side of the sheet feeding mechanism 20 along the conveyance path 25 and prints information on the recording sheet 15; a platen 40 that specifies a printing position facing the printing head 32 and has a suction mechanism 45 for sucking the recording sheet 15; a holding mechanism 50 that is disposed at the downstream side of the platen 40 to hold the recording sheet 15; and a control part 71 that controls the switching-on/off of at least the holding mechanism 50. When the suction mechanism 45 stops its suction operation, the control part 71 switches off the holding mechanism 50 to hold the recording sheet 15 to adhere to the surface of the platen 40 using the pair of sheet feeding rollers 22 and the holding mechanism 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
