Using a less precise, second optical three-dimensional measurement method, a second region (7) of the dental object (1) is subsequently measured without previous powdering, wherein second image data (16) are generated. Afterwards, the first image data (14) are combined with the second image data (16) to form an overlapping three-dimensional exposure (21).
