The hub comprises a hub housing (2), which has an axis and a bearing for rotatably supporting the hub housing. The hub housing comprises two forged surfaces (6,7), which are interconnected by a sleeve (5). The forged surfaces comprise a fastening unit (24,25) for a spokes unit. A tubular structure (8) of the former forged surface is shorter than another tubular structure (9) of the latter forged surface. A guide section and an adhesive section are provided at an overlapping section. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a hub housing.
