The device has an opening unit (12) acted upon by a spring element (11) for partially opening a flap (10) in an unlocked state. A tensioning arrangement (17) is actuatable by a motor (16) for pre-tensioning the spring element, and has two tensioning elements (18, 19), which are together extendable by the motor under engagement of one of the tensioning elements in the locked flap for pre-tensioning the spring element, where the other tensioning element is designed a spindle nut. The tensioning elements are independently retractable in the unlocked flap for facilitating closing of the flap.
