The protection device (10) that partially surrounds the traction battery (11) has casings (13,14) formed with a protuberance (15) and a recess (16) respectively. The protuberance is pressed in the recess by the application of external force. The protection device is formed in spherical or parallelepiped form. The recess is formed to rise out of the plane of the casing (14).
