<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time for acquiring density information in a case where fixation conditions are set by acquiring the density information from image data. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes setting means for virtually dividing an image formation area on an image formation surface of a recording material in preliminarily set areas, acquiring at least each piece of density information from image data corresponding to each divisional area as a representative value of the density information of the divisional area, and setting fixation conditions corresponding to the maximum value among the plurality of representative values acquired from the divisional areas as the preliminarily set fixation conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
