<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for flatly carbonizing a so-called thin wood shavings of about 0.1 to 0.2 mm while preventing the generation of such phenomena that if the thickness of a wood-based material thin plate is about 1 mm, and if the plate is thermally carbonized in an oxygen-blocked atmosphere or a low-oxygen atmosphere, cracking, unevenness and warping occur in the carbonized thin plate, and these become more remarkable as the thickness is smaller. <P>SOLUTION: A wood-based material thin plate having a thickness of B is arranged between two sheets of heat-resistive flat plates arranged with a gap A, and is thermally carbonized in an oxygen-blocked atmosphere or a low-oxygen atmosphere with A-B being held at about ≤0.2 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
