A component of a wind energy installation, in particular a tower segment of a wind energy installation, has a receptacle (2) for handling the component after manufacture and during fitting, which receptacle can be connected to a locking bolt (5) arranged on a supporting beam (4) to form a connecting apparatus. The receptacle (2) has an opening position (I) and a locking position (II) which is offset substantially through 90° with respect to the opening position (I), and is fixedly connected to the component of the wind energy installation.
