The autobody has a cast carrier (1) which connects a side sillboard with a rear longitudinal support (2). The rear longitudinal support is formed in metal shell construction from two metal shells. The rear longitudinal support extends in vehicle longitudinal direction and is connected at a rear end area (3) of the cast carrier. The front portion of the rear longitudinal support is pushed in form-fit manner over the rear end area of the cast carrier in vehicle longitudinal direction. The cast carrier has a cast-on projection (4) which forms a stop for the rear longitudinal support.
