<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually operated chuck for machine tools for machining of rotationally symmetrical workpieces involving cutting. <P>SOLUTION: In a manually operated chuck(1, 1') for machining of a rotationally symmetrical workpiece (2) involving cutting, the chuck comprising a base body, a threaded spindle, a wedge bar, and a driving ring, at least one centering device (11) is supported on a base body (4) and movable radially and provided laterally offset to at least one of clamping jaws (6, 7, 8) for fixing the workpiece at an angle, wherein each centering device (11) exerts a radially vectored force (Fz) acting directly on the workpiece (2) to be clamped, which is adjustable, by means of which the play (23, 23', 23'') between the threaded spindle and driving ring (21), and/or the threaded spindle and a wedge bar, and/or between the driving ring (21) and corresponding wedge bars of the clamping jaws is compensated, and the centering devices (11) are adapted to be actuated jointly synchronously or independently from one another and/or independently from the clamping jaws (6, 7, 8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
