<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area extraction device, an imaging device, and an area extraction program which can properly extract an area of a main subject from an input image. <P>SOLUTION: An area extraction device 140 comprises: a feature amount calculation unit 141 for calculating a first image feature amount and a second image feature amount included in an input image; a determination unit 142 for determining whether the first image feature amount is less than a threshold; and an area extraction unit 144 which, when the first image feature amount is less than the threshold, extracts an area determined based on the second image feature amount from the image, and when the first image feature amount is equal to or more than the threshold, extracts an area determined based on the first image feature amount from the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
