<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery system comprising a liquid electrolyte battery and capable of starting under low temperatures of -30°C or lower. <P>SOLUTION: The battery system comprises a solid state battery comprising a solid electrolyte containing a sulfide solid electrolyte which has a composition represented by the formula: Li<SB POS="POST">x</SB>M<SB POS="POST">y</SB>P<SB POS="POST">z</SB>S<SB POS="POST">4</SB>, where M represents an element selected from Ge, Sb, Si, C, Sn, B, Al, Ga, In, Ti, Zr, V, and Nb, and x, y, and z represent the atomic ratio and satisfy x+my+5z=8, where m represents the valence of M, shows a peak at 2θ=29.58°±0.50° in an X-ray diffraction measurement with CuKα radiation, and satisfies the requirement that I<SB POS="POST">B</SB>/I<SB POS="POST">A</SB>is less than 0.50, where I<SB POS="POST">A</SB>represents the diffraction intensity of the peak at 2θ=29.58°±0.50°, and I<SB POS="POST">B</SB>represents the diffraction intensity of a peak at 2θ=27.33°±0.50°; and a liquid electrolyte battery containing an electrolytic solution as an electrolyte. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
