<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device enabling a long-time stable rotation drive even in a configuration having a reduced heat capacity and being miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: In a flange member 50A for supporting a fixing belt 21 at an axial end part thereof, a cylindrical part 50a includes; a groove 50m formed around the circumferential direction of an outer peripheral surface thereof; and a slip ring 51 with a doughnut board shape, the inside diameter of which is rotatably fitted in the groove 50m, and having a board surface with which the axial end part of the fixing belt 21 comes into contact. The fixing device satisfies the following expression (1), with a rotary shaft 51j of the slip ring 51 used as a center.
