PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embed information without disposing a dot frame.

SOLUTION: An information embedding device which acquires an original image expressing an object and generates from the original image an information-embedded image in which information is embedded into the edge portion of the object while keeping the shape of the whole object constant comprises: a frame marker disposition part which disposes frame markers constituted of predetermined pixel areas, at respective four corners of the information-embedded image; and a direction detection marker disposition part which disposes in the information-embedded image a direction detection marker constituted of a predetermined pixel region on an object side with reference to one of the frame markers.
