<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a vacuum circuit breaker with improved mechanical strength by arranging a reinforcement member on a vertical magnetic field generating member having a slit on the outer peripheral side surface. <P>SOLUTION: In a vacuum circuit breaker having a pair of contacts which are freely brought into contact with and separated from each other, a vertical magnetic field generating member 6 is provided the upper face od which is fastened to a contact piece 4, and a slit 3 obliquely traversing an axial direction is provided on the outer peripheral side surface of the vertical magnetic field generating member 6. A reinforcement member 7 the conductivity of which is lower than that of the vertical magnetic field generating member 6 is arranged inside the vertical magnetic field generating member 6. An inner peripheral surface of the vertical magnetic field generating member 6 and the outer peripheral surface of the reinforcement member 7 are threaded so as to be screwed together. The vertical magnetic field generating member 6 and the reinforcement member 7 are integrated by screwing the threads into each other. Further, an adapter 5 is fastened to the lower face of the vertical magnetic field generating member 6 and one end faces of the reinforcement member 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
