An end attachment for a bracelet strap comprises a base 12 adapted to be secured to the end portion of the strap, a hook member 13 mounted on the base for swiveling movement about an axis normal to a surface of the base between a fastening position in which an end portion of the hook member forms with the base an enclosed aperture and a releasing position in which said end portion of the hook member is spaced away from the base to form a gap in the periphery of said aperture, and a resilient latch 11 mounted on the base and urged by its resilience into a first position in which when the hook member is in said fastening position the latch engages an arm 41 of the hook member to hold said member in said fastening position, the latch being movable against the resilient force to release the arm. As shown the latch has a pair of lugs between which the arm is disposed and is attached to the base by a pivot pin 14 which also serves to secure the hook member to the base. A support plate 10 to which the end portion of the strap is welded or soldered is attached to the base by means of bendable lugs 17, 19, 20. (For Figures see next column) |
