A corrugated-typed fastener (10) configured to couple a first substrate (2) to a second substrate (4) includes a bridge (14) and a plurality of ribs (12), the ribs (12) having a plurality of flutes (20, 22). The flutes (20, 22), and possibly the ribs (12), may be angled inwardly to form an apex (24) disposed within the width of the fastener and pointing towards a center of the fastener (10). The ribs (12) may extend out ward from the bridge (14) towards opposing ends (34, 36) of the fastener, and the ends (34, 36) may be at a different height than the bridge (14) when viewing the fastener (10) from the side. Alternatively, the ends (34, 36) may be at the same height as the bridge (14) and also may be generally centered on the height of the fastener (10).
