The system (100) has a measuring device arranged with respect to a screwing axis (64) such that change in angular position between a screw (10) and a nut (12) or a reference system through an end of a bolt (20) is determined in a direct or indirect manner. The screw is freely rotated with respect to the screwing axis. A contactless measurement device e.g. optical measurement device, determines an alteration of rotational angle layer of the nut and/or the bolt end of the screw. An independent claim is also included for a method for clamping force-generating fitting components.
