<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing alpha-particle radioactive impurities from a field of a metal composition having the alpha-particle radioactive impurities in low concentration and the metal composition. <P>SOLUTION: An acidic metal solution is provided which has an alpha radioactive substance, the meal solution is brought into contact with an ion exchange resin over a sufficient period of time to remove at least a portion of the alpha radioactive substance, and the metal solution is provided which is refined by separating the ion exchange and the metal solution from each other.
