<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that maintenance and recovering operations cause a liquid consumption amount to be increased. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: performing a first dummy ejection when a first elapsed time measured by a timer T1 after the first dummy ejection is equal to or greater than a first threshold time and less than a second threshold, and then resets the timer T1; performing a second dummy ejection when a second elapsed time measured by a timer T2 after the second dummy ejection is equal to or greater than a second threshold time and less than a third threshold, and then resets the timers T1 and T2; and performing a cleaning when a third elapsed time measured by a timer T3 after the cleaning is equal to or greater than the third threshold time, and then resets the timers T1, T2 and T3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
