<p>A method and an apparatus for transmitting information of an embedded control channel relate to the communication field, and solve problems of increased resource occupation and low utilization in a transmission process of relevant ECC information. The method comprises: a PTN device receiving an STM-N signal from an SDH network, and extracting ECC information from the STM-N signal; and the PTN device packaging the ECC information, and mapping the packaged ECC information to a standard communication signal of the PTN. The technical solutions provided by the present invention are applicable to information exchange between an SDH network and a PTN, and achieve efficient transmission of ECC information between the SDH network and the PTN.</p> |
