Agent comprises hydrogen peroxide, at least one homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid and at least one polyurethane, in a carrier, where the polyurethane is a polycondensate of polyethylene glycol, diisocyanate and optionally ethoxylated fatty alcohol. Independent claims are included for: (1) a composition for changing the color of keratin fibers, preferably human hair comprising at least one alkalizing agent and a fatty alcohol in a carrier, where the composition immediately prior to use is mixed with the agent; (2) a method of changing the color of keratin fibers, preferably human hair, comprising producing the composition, applying the ready-to-use composition on the treated keratin fibers, leaving the composition for 5-60 minutes on the fibers and rinsing the fiber; and (3) kit of parts comprising at least two separately prefabricated components, where the first component comprises the agent and the second component comprises the alkalizing composition.
