BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly and a display device including the same.

SOLUTION: The backlight assembly includes a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate includes a first light guide part which overlaps a display region for displaying an image and includes a first side face and a second side face which is separated from the first side face in a first direction, and a second light guide part arranged between the first side face and the second side face at a lower part of the first light guide part. The light source is arranged at a lower part of the first light guide part and at a side part of the second light guide part. With this, luminance becomes uniform in the display region.
