<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more practical method for controlling cell quality and a method for producing cells. <P>SOLUTION: The method for controlling cell quality includes a step in which in the control of cell quality, a plurality of pieces of cell movement information in a division in different periods based on cell displacement information related to one or more cell displacements in a prescribed period of at least every two divisions of a culture region virtually divided into a plurality of parts of one cell group are acquired and accumulated cell movement information in a division concerning the every divisions is acquired.
