<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which does not include a plurality of main imaging optical systems and images a stereoscopic image with the same operation as a conventional imaging operation. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a range-finding optical system having sub-imaging elements arranged to face a plurality of range-finding lenses; subject distance calculating means for calculating a distance to a subject by using image data based on a subject image which is image-formed on a light receiving face of each sub-imaging element; distance map image generating means for generating a two-dimensional distance map image from the distance to the subject; image feature amount calculating means for calculating each image feature amount of a main image and the distance map image; mapping data generating means for generating data obtained by mapping the main image and the distance map image by using each image feature amount; two-dimensional depth information image generating means for generating a two-dimensional depth information image by using mapping data and the distance map image; and stereoscopic image generating means for generating a three-dimensional parallax image from the two-dimensional depth information image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
