<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen detecting solution for an oxygen detecting agent, which has high heat resistance and can be preserved at a normal temperature and can maintain excellent oxygen detection performance independently of an atmospheric temperature, and to provide an oxygen detecting agent and a production method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the oxygen detecting agent, an oxygen detecting solution containing a reducing material, a basic material, and a redox dye to be reduced by the reducing material is carried on a carrier, and a concentration of the basic material in the oxygen detecting solution is 0.5 to 3.0% by mass, and reducing sugar and an ascorbic acid are used as the reducing material.
