BILL DEPOSIT/WITHDRAWAL MACHINE AND BILL DEPOSIT/WITHDRAWAL CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill deposit/withdrawal machine capable of reliably discriminating bills that a customer deposits and bills in the machine even if a fault occurs during a deposit/withdrawal transaction.

SOLUTION: The bill deposit/withdrawal machine includes: a discrimination part which discriminates a bill inserted via a customer port for carrying out a transaction of a bill with the customer; a serial number acquisition part which acquires the serial number of the bill; a control part which controls conveyance of the bill in the machine; and a storage part which stores the serial number of a bill stored in a storage cassette and the storage order of the bill as management information for one or each of a plurality of storage cassettes in which a bill in the machine are stored. The control part conveys the bill to a corresponding storage cassette on the basis of a result of discrimination by the discrimination part, and also records the serial number of the bill and the storage order of the bill in the storage cassette as management information in the storage part.
