<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the occurrence of temperature unevenness in a fixing member used in an electromagnetic induction heating type fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a fixing belt 61 which has a conductive layer, which generates heat by electromagnetic induction heating; an excitation coil 82 which generates an AC magnetic field intersecting with the conductive layer of the fixing belt 61; a plurality of magnetic core pieces 84a which are juxtaposed in the width direction of the fixing belt 61 so as to face the fixing belt 61 through the excitation coil 82; a temperature-sensitive magnetic member 64 which is disposed so as to come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 61; and a guide member 66 which is disposed so as to come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the temperature-sensitive magnetic member 64. The fixing belt 61 has first areas S1 which pass through parts facing the magnetic core pieces 84a through the excitation coil 82, and second areas S2 which pass through parts not facing the magnetic core pieces 84a.
