<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify vehicle travel control in an intersection non-stop traveling control system, in particular, to reduce a travel condition maintaining burden on a vehicle and a vehicle driver. <P>SOLUTION: In a vehicle passing a specific point P in a road distance D upstream of an intersection A in one period Tp of a signal of the target intersection A and travelling to the intersection A, its expected time of arrival at the intersection A is calculated at regular time intervals in the case where the vehicle travels to the intersection A at a current travelling speed. If the expected time of arrival at the intersection A is within the green signal period of the intersection A, the vehicle continues to travel at the current travelling speed. If the expected time of arrival at the intersection A is before a green signal lighting time, a travelling condition is calculated which allows the vehicle to arrive within the green signal period of the intersection A by minimally reducing the current travelling speed, and the vehicle travels in the travelling condition and passes through the intersection A at a green signal without stop. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
