<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the learning effect. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire includes a light source, an identification section, and a light source control section. The emission intensity of the light source is controllable. The identification section identifies the operation of a user. When the operation of a user, which is identified by the identification section is a learning operation representing an operation of forming a memory in the brain of the user, the light source control section controls the light emission intensity of the light source so that the level of arousal of the user becomes lower than a predetermined level.
