The transmission has detection units (91-94) for detecting electrical drive current. Two motors (71-74) actuate two selection mechanisms. A control section (50) i.e. transmission control unit, comprises a calculating unit for calculating electrical drive current amount. A judging unit judges whether electrical drive current amount computed by the calculating unit for electrical drive current amount exceeds an upper limit value. A connecting limiting device limits connecting process if the judging unit judges whether the electrical drive current amount exceeds the upper limit value.
