A charging device (1) for an electric vehicle is provided with: a charging cable (CB2), having a charging connector (CN1) detachably connected to an electric vehicle; a charging device main-body (10), to which the charging cable (CB2) is connected, and which has a charging control unit for controlling the charging of the electric vehicle connected to the charging connector (CN1); a fixing unit for fixing the charging device main-body (10) to a wall (200) of a building; and a fall prevention wire (20) which joins the wall (200) and the charging device main-body (10), thus preventing the charging device main-body (10) from falling onto the ground.
