<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of decreasing size by shortening the length from a tip end to a rear end. <P>SOLUTION: A gas sensor comprises: a sensor element 10 extending in an axial line; a main body fitting 50 for holding the sensor element 10; an inner cylinder member 70 formed in a cylindrical shape fixed to a rear end side of the main body fitting 50; an outer cylinder member 80 formed in a cylindrical shape covering the outside of the inner cylinder member 70 in a diametrical direction; a cylindrical ventilation filter 75 disposed between the inner cylinder member 70 and the outer cylinder member 80 and having water repellency; and a seal member 30 formed by an elastic material inserted in a rear end inside of the inner cylinder member 70. The seal member 30 is inserted in a position whish is the rear end side inside of the inner cylinder member 70 and superimposed with a part of the ventilation filter 75. The inserted seal member 75 is pressed in the inner cylinder member 70, and a rear end surface of the seal member 30 is locked by a projecting portion 81 provided on a rear end side of the outer cylinder member 80 and projecting inward in the diametrical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
