<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device that can prevent a rear end of a recording medium from being floated in such a level that the rear end is not detected by a detection means due to dry air blown from a blowout port of a drying means to dry liquid adhering to a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A hot wind (dry air) blown from the blowout port 53 of a drying device 17 is blown to a cut sheet CS, and made to remain in a region between a driven rollers 34, 35 configuring a pair of conveyance rollers R2, R3 which form the first dried region D1. A sensor 62 for detecting the rear end of the cut sheet CS is provided at the downstream side in a conveyance direction X from the driven roller 35 forming the first dried region D1. The surface of the cut sheet CS is brought into contact with a lower end of a guide plate 65, whereby the floating of the rear end of the cut sheet CS is minimized.
